Any tips I send out that you feel obliged to round trip go into what I am calling Keccers Tip Fund and will be used to pay out more tips. Your generosity enables further generosity from me. Heartfelt gratitude this week to Leeward and Rob whose kindness I am paying forward!
That's all she wrote folks — tips issued today, April 15th, will be included in next week's recap. Thank you so much for everything, from the belly laughs to moments of true introspection. See you on the timeline!
If you have a post with 10,000 viewers 1% of them tip .50 that’s $50 direct to creator with none of the bad feelings of speculation involved for either party We have all the building blocks for this today but don’t do it because …. ? Too hard to socialize the behavior? Profit motive — trading leads to many more txn for the chains and platforms? Content is actually valueless and no one will ever pay?
I been sayin’ https://warpcast.com/matthewb/0x35c0ddc0
We have to work against the platform owners here in some way to do this but I am fully on board (as you know) 🤭 I need to update my crypto tracker but I’ve tipped out at least $300 YTD 💪 Imagine if everyone did like us
I loved the soft 🍖 tip when i liked something.
Please do Tuesday Tips like this ^ instead of like 👇

I don't think I have developed opinion on this but I've received several $ payments since I joined They would be good money for some folks ... but I think you mean western like money, right
there was a feature to send warps from a cast, could see the same feature come back with USDC as the currency
There are a lot of good ui/ux ideas for this in my replies too 😎
I think most users are too harried to tip in real time. Two more decisions to make while scrolling: (i) do I want to tip, (ii) how much? And then they need to make sure their wallet has sufficient funds to send the tip. I think the solution is rewards automation
"creator rewards" automation, but run at the creator/consumer/curator level, not the platform level
Coming this week
could you wanna make a cast action that does this, as a trial of how many ppl would actually opt in and do this regularly? it would be three clicks instead of two (and some setup), but still prolly a good experiment to run
@jc4p had a cool idea for one where if it notices you’re liking on someone a lot, toss em a teeny coin or smth I’m open to anything
It’s not a VC-scale business and therefore the best software builders ignore it.
But that is far from the only source of revenue for a social business Forget Zora On here WC already is monetizable by - swaps - storage - new user accounts - advertising (like airdrop program) - token (the investors here surely have fat warrants, will mint off of retail chuds when that drops) no need to bilk us here
$50 per 1k is 0.05 CPM if a typical online person views 1000 things in a day that would mean they’d need to spends $18,250 per year
But you don’t have to tip all 1000 things you see? Half it? Hell, even 1/4 of that would be good given how little 10k views is
what content producers earn must equal what content consumers spend it could be that price IS sustainable if people view less than i initially estimated or if not all content is eligible and/or if the platforms subsidize money in = money out
also my math is wrong $5 CPM --> $1,825 / yr
People are actively experimenting with .25 and .10 I think your mental model of people tipping 1k pieces of content a day is wrong, just as much as my example overshot pricing
The problem is the amount of viewers
10k not a lot to get in the grand scheme of things
Yeah with time , it’s achievable
didn’t we have the warp button at some point? i wonder how that did in terms of numbers either way, i agree. i always enjoyed tipping warps, usdc, anything. a native button to send $0.25 would be fun.
1% hit rate is probably ISANELY HIGH tbh. You look at some of the largest creators on youtube or twitch, which have cultures of giving, and maybe 0.01-0.1% sub or give even once. The content generally doesn't bring value to the people with the money.
Well then we need to be honest about that and stop trying then. Why are we beating a dead horse
It's easier to sell dreams than realize them.
hmmmm it’s a little different there for a couple of reasons, one is that twitch and YouTube are long form streaming content in horizontal view at a computer happy to share my POV more
I think you could make the same argument for shorts on youtube, or reels on instagram. The content is consumed and then discarded. I am open to hearing what might be off course since you almost def. have more exposure to this than me
I liked it so much I paid for it: April 8-14 2025 We've got interfaces, Record Store day, beautiful meals, Beatrix Potter inspired books, computers for civilizational collapse, sword skills, dreams of a better world and clear eyed looks at what the world really is. Special thank you to @leewardbound and @robrecht for roundtripping my tips to them. All round tripped tips get paid forward. All tips from today will be recapped next week. With gratitude 🫶 https://paragraph.com/@keccers/i-liked-it-so-much-i-paid-for-it-002
I also got my Paragraph back. Pull-ups VERY SOON
Yayyy🎉
oh damn wasn’t sure what you meant with the tip fund, very cool!
I support this initiative
am i too redacted to understand how to go back to the main piece after opening a cast instead of closing and reopening the entire thing
No. This is sort of a known flaw with mini apps. There is no back button nor best practice for a back button pattern. https://paragraph.com/@keccers/i-liked-it-so-much-i-paid-for-it-002 https://paragraph.com/@keccers/i-liked-it-so-much-i-paid-for-it-002 https://paragraph.com/@keccers/i-liked-it-so-much-i-paid-for-it-002 https://paragraph.com/@keccers/i-liked-it-so-much-i-paid-for-it-002 https://paragraph.com/@keccers/i-liked-it-so-much-i-paid-for-it-002 A bunch of links hopefully a punt to browser makes this better
